I enjoy trying to translate vocal melodies of songs I like into guitar to improve various skills such as music theory, technique, creativity and ear training.
This allows me to enjoy the musical quality of the songs without the message offered in the lyrics, and some lyrics, as you know, are rather weird, awkward and uncomfortable to say the least.
Some artists talk about the difficulty of singing some of their songs live saying that the message doesn't resonate with them any longer.
